First in, last out

Thanks to Carol for sharing this...

Now, please, just sit back, take a deep breath, and spend 6 minutes being amazed.  Don't be snarky, smart, or even all grown up.  Just be amazed.

Plucky little bastards.  Good luck!

Because Fred and I were discussing whether Kurt Vonnegut may or may not have been the reincarnation of Mark Twain, a whole series of Vonnegut quotes seem appropriate, of a sudden.  For the turtles, for me, for Fred, for you.

"Peculiar travel suggestions are dancing lessons from God."

"Many people need desperately to receive this message: 'I feel and think much as you do, care about many of the things you care about, although most people do not care about them. You are not alone.'"

"I urge you to please notice when you are happy, and exclaim or murmur or think at some point, 'If this isn't nice, I don't know what is.'"

But most of all:

“Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
